Authors are encouraged to follow the relevant reporting guideline and checklist when applicable. The Editor or reviewers may request a completed checklist during editorial assessment or peer review.
Editorials provide a platform for expert commentary, scholarly reflection, evidence-informed discussion, and critical perspectives on important developments in agriculture, biological sciences, life sciences, environmental sciences, agricultural research, scientific publishing, education, policy, and related fields.
Editorials are generally commissioned by the Editorial Board. They may also be submitted by invited subject-matter experts, researchers, academics, or members of the AALSJ Editorial or Advisory Boards.
Editorials are subject to editorial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief and/or Editorial Board. External peer review may be requested at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
Short Communications provide a platform for concise scholarly contributions, significant observations, preliminary findings, methodological or technical developments, focused analyses, and other scientifically relevant contributions in agriculture, biological sciences, life sciences, environmental sciences, and related fields.
Short Communications should present a focused scientific contribution and should not unnecessarily duplicate material published or submitted elsewhere.
Short Communications undergo editorial assessment followed by peer review where appropriate.
Special Communications provide a platform for innovative perspectives, conceptual frameworks, policy discussions, interdisciplinary analyses, methodological perspectives, and scholarly contributions addressing emerging or broader issues in agriculture, biological sciences, life sciences, environmental sciences, agricultural technology, sustainability, and related fields.
Special Communications undergo editorial assessment followed by peer review where appropriate.
